Our Animals

The following are just a few of our animals, each with their own personality and origin story. Some have shells while others have no legs, but all of our animals have a special place in our family. Through our mobile animal encounters, we bring with us an interactive learning experience for all ages. After spending time with our critters, you'll walk away with a newfound appreciation for animals of all shapes and sizes.

Spoon the Holland Lop Bunny

Spoon was a failed attempt at an Easter gift, as many rabbits are. She was gifted to a kid that could not properly care for her and was eventually surrendered to a local pet shop. Though rabbits are popular pets, they’re considered exotic and require special care. Spoon is a 3 year old Holland lop rabbit with a passion for banana peels and sleeping. On top of that, like many lopped-eared rabbits, Spoon is almost completely deaf!

Stick the Pied Ball Python

Stick is a 7 year old pied ball python. Her previous family needed to rehome her, and we offered to take her in. It didn't take long for her sweet personality to shine through. She's beautiful inside and out. Stick's favorite pass time is exploring every nook and cranny.

Stink the Blue Tongue Skink

Stink is a blue tongue skink, demonstrating that goofy blue tongue in this picture (she was impatiently awaiting more worms). Stink is another example of a rehomed exotic pet. Many people fail to realize the long-term specialized care that comes with having an exotic pet of any shape or size. Stink the Skink is an outgoing goofball, perfect for any and all crowds. His favorite food is hornworms and crickets!

The Crab Brothers - Kentucky, Kyle, and Kirby

Kentucky Crab is our big show-off! Him and his two brothers Kyle and Kirby love to crawl and explore everywhere (and all over everyone!) This hands-on trio always adds to the fun. These three love to tear up scrambled eggs.

Spike the Gecko

Spike was given to a young child in her previous home where she was not cared for correctly. She was handled too rough by a child and dropped her tail out of stress. With or without that tail, Spike is still a stunner with her big golden eyes!

Stone the Baby Red Foot Tortoise

Stone is a red foot tortoise, hatched back in April of 2023 and has spent all of her time nonstop growing. Though adorable when they’re pocket-sized, the male red foot tortoises can grow to weigh almost 20lbs and can hit 14 inches long. Stone has a long way to go! For now, Stone is focused on gobbling up watermelon and lounging around in her pool.

Skinny the Red Foot Tortoise

Skinny is a red foot tortoise that was donated to us, but his age is unknown! After initially hatching, red foot tortoises measure less than 2 inches long, but grow rapidly in the next few years. After about a decade, that growth slows down. Red foots are often rehomed due to their lifespan of 50+ years. Skinny enjoys following his caretakers around and basking under the sun.
